Experience the eastern part of the island with the eyes of a local private guide eager to show you the sights of his hometown. This trip offers you the chance to visit the eastern part of Crete. In this trip you will visit Elounda - Plaka, Spinalonga Island, Agios Nikolaos and the Lasithi Plateau.

Our first ride in the morning is to drive up to the Lasithi Plateau stopping in the traditional village of  Krasi where we will enjoy a flavorful local cofee.

We then continue our tour to the top of the mountain where we reach and drive around the wonderful Lasithi Plateau, which is at 850m above sea level and surrounded by the imposing Dikti mountains.The trip includes driving round the plateau and its traditional villages (albout 18),  and a visit to an old Byzantine monastery where you are able to marvel at the famous sails of the local windmills and the inspiring panorama of the region. A stop at the viliage of Psychro where the  stunning cave called Dikteon Andron (Zeus Cave) and the Mythology Park are located. Choose to visit one of the two and admire the different scenes and features offered.  A delicious traditional lunch follows where you will experience cretan hospitality at its best. 

After lunch we drive down the mountain, and the second part of our tour begins. A visit to an olive oil factory will teach you everything you need to know about olive oil harvesting.
